Low vision is a visual condition that leads to reduced vision caused by pathologies that can affect the cornea, retina and optic nerve.
This visual condition can be:
- severe, if the residual vision is not greater than 1/10 in both eyes even with correction.
- medium-severe, if the visual residue is not greater than 2/10 in both eyes even with correction.
- slight, if the visual residue is not more than 3/10 in both eyes even with correction.
Corrective methods consist of optical aids capable of increasing the size of the visual image.
